Very delicious food, one point deduction for the rather uncomfortable atmosphere in the dining room.
Delicious food good view nice staff. Everything done right.
Friendly staff, dogs welcome and delicious food. Fits!
The restaurant is comfortably furnished in a rustic style, the service is very nice and the menu is clear and contains a selection of different dishes. The food tasted really good. We enjoyed our stay at the Roten Bären. A visit to the restaurant is highly recommended during a holiday in and around Sankt Andreasberg.
Really good cafe and restaurant. Very nice and friendly staff.
It was a beautiful late Sunday afternoon with a beautiful sunset on the terrace. The food was delicious. The service was a little disorganized. E.g. the reserved table in the sun was suddenly free for walk-in customers, a shame.
At first no food on the terrace then suddenly after opening only currywurst the rest of the menu no longer when the terrace is full. Cheesecake very good!
Very friendly service, the food was very good and everything was fresh. Best salad dressing, value for money absolutely top
Very nice service. Small menu but the food was delicious and the ice cream for dessert was very good.
It's a shame that I have to give a star at all. We were received very, but really, very unfriendly. Reacting racially in front of my toddler really doesn't have to be. Hardly looked in the eyes and immediately got rid of the restaurant. I've never had such an experience and it's really not professional. NEVER AGAIN!
We had a great view after a hard day and were provided with very tasty dishes. Käsespätzle and the tagliatelle with chanterelles were large and very tasty! I can only recommend it, but you should make a reservation!
Would not recommend going. We've visited Roter Bär two weekdays in a row for dinner. The first day, we had a lovely dinner; without making a reservation with friendly staff. The waiting times were a bit long; but we shrugged it off as being an incident. The second day, we made a reservation for 1900. When all was said and done, we had our dinner at our table, now in the dark, by 2145. This was mostly because the venue is understaffed, and although the single waitress works very hard and is friendly, it is not reasonable to think she can work >10 tables alone. The two star rating flows from the fact that during our over 2 hour wait, we were not offered anything and were charged full price for a meal in the dark without as much as a glass of water for the 2 hour wait. We feel that this is taking your customers for granted. There were simply to many tables for the staff to be able to manage. To sumarise; the food is good, the prices are reasonable, but the service is very poor with extreme waiting times without proper compensation. I feel that the manager should be ashamed for the experience he or she provides and hope that this review makes them consider changing things around. All the best to this restaurant.
Quiet restaurant on the outskirts of Sankt Andreasberg. Changing menu with a good selection. Reservations are recommended in Corona times.
As a couple and showed up spontaneously at 6:00 p.m., there was a nice seat by the fireplace. Service unmatched friendly - all queries answered with a calm, great. Restaurant is rustic but lovingly decorated. Menu / selection is small but fine - would have preferred to order 3rd dishes. My cheese spaetzle was delicious - BASIC, but honest and prepared with heart and soul. The Wiener Schnitzel from my husband was also good ( yes, here too a lot can be done wrong) !!! Prices reasonable - if you want to eat well and without a lot of ski, the Red Bear is absolutely right !!
It takes a huge appetite to make these delicious portions 😬
The drink i ordered was very spicy and the burger was also spicy, but both tasted good
Great views and the food was good
Very comfortable with friendly, courteous service and great views. Update - were back here a year later, this time for dinner. The service was great and the food really tasty. The cheese spaetzle are only to be recommended. Should we once again lead a holiday in the Harz we will be back.
Very delicious. No menu for everyone, everything freshly cooked.
Fresh regional cuisine in a fantastic location The card is small and changes seasonally. In addition to skilfully prepared regional classics, you can always find inspired dishes with Swabian and international influences. Here is fresh and delicious cooked, a highlight in the Upper Harz!
Great restaurant ... small and very fine menu. Great beverage selection. Everything was delicious. Service nice. Can you only recommend ... Top tip in the resin.
You might want to avoid Saturdays as they were out of two of the eight dishes. Rather boring dishes were left and service was below expectations. We were suprised about the rather good reviews on tripadvisor and google maps.
In the Harz there is a good kitchen. And here! The food was excellent. Although there is a fairly short card, but really good quality. Here one understands his craft! The service was ok and very lovable. The view in the evening was beautiful. Here I would come back anytime!
Friendly staff, reasonable prices, nice playground for the kids, great view. But come in good time, service can be a bit slow during busy hours.
I have to rate the food as average. But the prices are rather above average. The service was very hard and everything took a long time. The clear menu offers Swabian home cooking and a few local specialties. The portion size is reasonable, but the roast potatoes for the onion roast have never seen a pan. This can be done better!
Very good Swabian cuisine, mostly homemade. Extensive drinks menu, very individual and tasty. High quality products, nice ambience and friendly owner.
